DESIGN ENGINEER / PROJECT ENGINEER
Van Ryn Engineering, Inc. has immediate openings for Civil Design / Project Engineers with 1-5 years of experience in land development in Southern California region. Our firm focuses on land surveying, land development and land planning of residential, mixed use and small commercial projects throughout Southern California. We are a small engineering company that is growing, and we offer an exciting opportunity for the right individual to help us continue to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
Candidate will be required to work under the direction of the project manager and will assist with civil design, plan preparation and project technical reports.
Minimum qualifications for the position include:
- A BS degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or Geomatics from a four-year college or university
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus
- Posses 1-5 years of relevant work experience in land development projects

SURVEY TECHNICIAN / CHAINMAN
Van Ryn Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Survey Technician / Chainman with 0-3 years of experience in land surveying in Southern California region. Our firm focuses on land surveying, land development and land planning of residential, mixed use and small commercial projects throughout Southern California. We are a growing firm that offers an exciting opportunity for the right individual to help us continue to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
Candidate will be required to work under the direction of the principal land surveyor and will assist with performing boundary & topographic surveys, preparation of Record of Survey Maps, construction staking and land mapping.
Minimum qualifications for the position include:
- LSIT a plus, but not required
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Experience performing basic survey tasks
- Ability to work in the field and office as necessary
- Performing field calculations and construction staking
- Ability to perform office functions, downloading and processing field data
- Basic computer skills, experience with AutoCAD software a plus

SURVEY PARTY CHIEF
Van Ryn Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Survey Party Chief with 2-5 years of experience in land surveying in Southern California region.
Candidate will be required to work under the direction of the principal land surveyor and will assist with performing boundary & topographic surveys, preparation of Record of Survey Maps, construction staking and land mapping.
Minimum qualifications for the position include:
- LSIT a plus, but not required
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Experience with Boundary & Topographic surveys
- Experience performing field calculations and construction staking
- Ability to lead a small crew or work alone
- Ability to work in the field and office as necessary
- Ability to perform office functions, downloading and processing field data
- Basic computer skills, experience with AutoCAD software a plus
- Possess 2 or more years of relevant work experience
- Valid CA drivers license and safe driving record
